NS-T IoT™ Sensor Communication protocol

NS-T IoT™ advances the MQTT standard for IoT Messaging by OASIS. This code is an extremely lighweight and scalable communication standard which uses publish and subscribe protocols to connect remote devices with minimal bandwidth utilization.

NS-T IoT™ developers optimized this light weight resource utilization feature to extend the supported platforms. This generates smaller headers which improves overall performance and network bandwidth.

The Scalabiity feature has been retained in this framework with a slight improvement in board support packages. NS-T® added the support of the Intel Galileo platform.

NS-T® developers also integrated the NS-TMesh™ protocol into MQTT to integrate BLE support of IoT devices and maintained the support for persistent sessions with unreliable cellular networks to reduces reconnect time between client and broker.

We've also improved Bi-directional Communications messaging between device and cloud by leveraging our NS-T AI™ distributed computing hierarchy which minimizes communication and resource utilization.

We've retained MQTT's Reliable Message Delivery feature but improved the security of our framework by adapting our L.I.O.N. 4th Generation SDN-IoT security archtecture introduced in our AI Smart Classroom.

Accelerating a Secure Programmable Edge Network System for IoT

Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications have been challenged by vast emerging security threats. The increasing number of connected devices on an IoT network may encounter potential attacks while relaying messages over the public Internet. Security methods in traditional wireless networks are often specific to single architectures and are therefore ineffective in solving security issues that may surface on hybrid IoT networks. Our network solutions integrate a software defined end-edge-cloud network architecture for smart IoT applications. We apply a deep-learning (DL) based intrusion detection system (IDS) to secure this architecture.
