NS-T R&D™ Research and Development API

NS-T is commited to educating the youth in Technology and advancing research for computer networking infrastructures toward the development of smart and resilient networks for the advancement of IoT.

We introduced NS-T R&D™ a project creating API's extending Network Simulator 3 (NS-3). NS-T R&D™ aims to virtualize programmable hardware platforms such as Intel Galileo Gen 2, Raspberry Pis, Digilent Zybo and other SoC platforms. NS-T® reseachers are integrating the performance and functions of these compute devices and extending feaures of Network Simulator 3 with other popular libraries in OpenWrt to create a 2-dimensional testbed for networking experiments before deploying OpenWrt firmware.

NS-3 enables the extension of libraries which can be cross compiled internally or with external libs. It creates a modular platform instead of GUI for conducting experiments. NS-3 also leverages external animators and data visualization tools. Development tools for NS-3 and OpenWrt include C++ and/or Python. NS-3 libs are primarily based on Linux which creates a seamless integration with OpenWrt packages.

NS-T& reseachers are creating a paradigm bridge between simulations and real-time experiments which allows for scalability and validation which cannot otherwise be accomplished independently. A novel feature in NS-T R&D™ is NS-TMesh™, A mesh networking protocol by NS-T developers which benefits from opportunistic routing. This Low energy solution helps balance network traffic by managing low bandwidth exchanges between “6LowPan” enabled devices over a separate channel from WIFi and other network interfaces. Our NS-3 implementation of NS-TMesh™ is extendeding the BLE APIs. NS-T R&D™ is open-source and targets young leaners and aspiring reasearchers in poor communities who otherwise would not find easy access to quality training in networking fields of engineering. We aspire to engage these great minds to help them unleash their full potential and them integrate into society.

Live Intrusion Obliviation Network (L.I.O.N.)

May 25, 2015

Project "Lion" is an autonomous (time driven) sensor network for smart homes that can activate functions by set times and signals. The features can appear as variables of time, weather, or interference on the network. Autonomy is essential in Smart Homes; it enables periodic elements to be decoupled from random processes. Lion is a growing project with features that evolve with new technology.

Digital Basketball Trainer (DBT #22)

Aug. 26th, 2015

"DBT #22" is a Computerized Basketball Training System. Guided by Artificial Intelligence we are designing a system that will take Basketball training to the next level. In this system of training, we start by analysing the athlete that wants undergo basketball training and then build them to reach a professional level of training, grading them on their skill level as they progress; determining their true position...
